Job Summary:

Responsible for ordering monitors, monitor application, patient education, monitor follow up and documentation, answering phone messages, and keeping track of inventory.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Order Zio monitors in EHR and Biotel monitors in respective data base.
• Apply Zio home/in-clinic monitors if assistance is needed within the defined parameters set by CHI.
• Contact physician offices for missing or incomplete, no-compliant orders.
• Call patients for follow-up regarding their monitors when needed. This may include notifying the patient to discuss monitor questions or issues which may include the monitor not showing readable data, lost monitors, incorrect mailing information, or to facilitate the return of the monitor.
• Enter nurse notes into the EHR and task appropriate groups with any necessary changes with the appointment.
• Patient education.
• Send nurse messages on patients who fail to apply/return monitors.
• Answer monitor related massages.
• Monitor Biotel and Zio site for urgen messages, report to the nurse.
• Fax orders to HIM daily.
• Update monitor logs with each application.
• Responsible for moving Zio reports to appropriate folder for report to put in the chart in coordinator's absence.
• Assist with renaming ROI's and orders on the M:Drive.
• Complete a daily End of Service log, monitoring Zio and EMDAT for final reports, and documenting chart notes for each completed report.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification
• CMA, Ambulatory Monitoring Technician or Certified Cardiographic Technician.

Qualifications:

• Two years in a medical office or hospital setting with strong background in EKG analysis and/or arrhythmia interpretation.
